Three swimming spots to explore during your stay
December 17, 2025
Strömskär – evening sun, cliffs and views of passing boats
Strömskär is one of Björkö’s most appreciated swimming and viewpoint areas.
From the Sealodge, it is only about a five-minute walk, located just north of the harbor (beyond Restaurant Seaside). Here, cliffs, sea and passing boats come together during beautiful sunsets.
A small coastal path follows the shoreline, making it perfect for a short evening walk before settling on the rocks to watch the sun set over the archipelago.
Torsholme – pier and barbecue area
Torsholme is just four minutes from the Sealodge and is one of the most easily accessible spots on the island.
It features a long pier extending toward the sea, benches for resting, and a barbecue area frequently used by both locals and visitors.
It is a calm and open place – ideal for a swim, some relaxation, or a simple evening barbecue by the water.
Klarvik – family-friendly beach and shallow waters
Klarvik is about a 30-minute walk north of the Sealodge and is one of Björkö’s most family-friendly swimming areas.
Here you’ll find sandy shores, shallow waters, and a sheltered bay that makes swimming safe even for younger children.
Floating docks and open spaces provide plenty to explore, while the surrounding nature creates a peaceful day-trip destination for families spending time by the sea.
